The best part about the co-op is to have a dedicated mentor to guide you through the unknown territories. I have been lucky to have a supervisor who has guided me through the unknown. I have worked on various tasks since joining the internship. And to be effective in the tasks that I perform I have developed two actions a.ka. my productivity hacks.

1. Whenever I am allotted a task I first try to understand it fully and clear all the doubts beforehand.

Project: I was given a task to add specific keywords lists to an account.
So the first thing I did was to get all the details of the account, then I gathered all the details of the keywords that have to be added. I also asked for any potential errors that can happen and tried to be aware of them so as to not commit them in my execution of the task.

This helped me in finishing the task early and with minimum errors.

2. I start by doing the hardest part first it helps me to stay focused and finish the hard part before tiring myself out.

Project: I was given a task to update the audience lists for 9 accounts. After knowing the task properly I decided to dismantle the task into 9 parts here I realized that 1 account was constituting 70% of the task load. I took that account first and finished it. It surely tired me out but I knew that the toughest was over and now I had to only go through the easy ones. This also helps in another way, when one starts the tough tasks first they have high energy and it helps in tackling it effectively.

When I shared my productivity hacks with my supervisor and team they liked my approach and told me they would try it for themselves.

So these are the two productive hacks that have helped me. There would be many more which I would be doing subconsciously. This blog really helped me in introspecting my day-to-day functioning and finding my own hacks to productivity.
